St. Alban's OUTREACH

"Wherever you go, preach. Use words if necessary."
Francis of Assisi

Outreach at St. Alban's is a ministry of service undertaken in awareness that we are "God's hands and feet" in the world.
We witness to God's love by remembering that Jesus said, "Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me."
We adopt parish-wide projects, we encourage members in their own choices of personal ministry, and we support the outreach and service projects of the Diocese of Texas. Below you will find examples of our many outreach works.
(The Almanac articles will share the stories of St. Alban's members' personal experiences of these ministries.)

Our Newest Outreach Project : Refugee Services of Texas

Because the number of  refugees arriving in the
Austin area has  increased dramatically in the last
18 months, much more assistance is currently needed. We are participating in a donation drive for furnishing
an apartment for a refugee family.

Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat volunteers build and rehabilitate simple, decent houses alongside homeowner (partner) families. In addition to a down payment and monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor (sweat equity) into building their Habitat house and the houses of others.
