Annual Pledge Drive
Just to be clear about the two pledge cards: The Annual Pledge Drive is what we give to keep our church doors open and our programs going and growing. The biblical standard is to aim for 10% of our annual income, and it may be paid in weekly, monthly, or quarterly installments during the course of 2008. If you have never pledged, I invite you to take this step into closer communion with Christ and fuller membership in St. Alban’s. The Capital Campaign is an additional pledge that may be given over a period of three years, beginning in 2008 and ending in 2010. With what we give out of Thanksgiving for what God has given us, we will be able to finish the upstairs of the Parish Life Building and to retire some of our remaining debt. If we receive more pledges, we will set some money aside for when we get access to city water and then expand the narthex (foyer) of the church to be more hospitable.
